The Seed That Grew Quietly
Jesus told a story about a man who planted seeds. It helped explain God's kingdom.
The man prepared the field and sowed the seed. Then he went on with his life.
He slept at night and got up when morning came.
Meanwhile, something was happening under the soil. The seeds began to grow.
The man could not see every little change. He could not order the plants to grow faster. Their life was not in his hands.

First a little green shoot appeared. Then a head of grain formed. After that, the head filled with grain.
It did not happen all at once. The plant grew little by little.
When the grain was ready, it was time to gather the harvest.
The farmer rejoiced at the ripe field.

Jesus taught that God works in ways we cannot always see. His word can grow in our hearts while we are still small.
You are learning little by little too.
Perhaps waiting for your turn is hard. Perhaps yesterday you said something that hurt a friend. You can ask forgiveness and keep learning.
Listening to Jesus, talking with him, and practicing kindness help us grow.
A grown-up can water a plant and give it a good place. But God gives it life.
In a similar way, our families can teach and encourage us. God helps us inside to love and trust.
We do not need to compare ourselves with someone else. We can be thankful for little steps and keep going patiently.
Like that seed, a small beginning can become a beautiful harvest.
Jesus tells us a story, and his love stays with us.
