A Mission to Share His Love

After his resurrection, Jesus met his followers on a mountain in Galilee. They worshiped him, though some still struggled with doubt.

The friends climbed to the meeting place.

Jesus told them that all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to him.

Then he gave them a mission. They were to go and make disciples among all nations.

His love was not only for one town or one group. People everywhere needed to hear the good news.

Jesus sent his followers to share his love with people everywhere.
Jesus sent his followers to share his love with people everywhere.

They were to baptize people in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to follow his words.

The task was large, but they would not do it alone. Jesus promised to be with them always, to the end of the age.

“I am with you always.”

Birds called across the hillside.

Their mission would begin with ordinary people who trusted an extraordinary Savior.

We can share his love where we are. A kind word, a truthful answer, a helpful hand, or a Bible story can point someone toward him.

We should treat others with respect, never forcing someone to believe. Jesus calls us to share good news through patient love.

His promise gives courage: we are not alone when we serve.

Retelling of Matthew 28:16–20.
